MM: How do you get started? JL: A full game is played 7-on-7. Each team lines up on opposite ends of the field and one team «pulls» the disc by throwing it down the field- similar to a kickoff. If someone from your team catches it in the end zone, you score a point. If the disc hits the ground, it’s a turnover and the other team can pick it up and go the other way.

MM: Describe crucial skills: JL: Running, catching and throwing. Experienced players can throw the length of the field or have the disc drop anywhere on the field they like. MM: Why do you think the game is considered a top workout? JL: You’ll consistently run up and down the field to get open and chase the Frisbee disc. Unlike a football, which falls quickly, a disc floats in the air. It is often thrown well ahead of you, and you have to track it down before it hits the ground. MV
