I was in an accident about a year and a half ago. My friend was driving, he wasnt on the policy, he got a ticket for fault of accident. My policy had lapsed 6 days prior to the accident and my insurance company said they would not pay for damages sustained by the innocent party. Thus i paid(as requested by the innocent partys insurance) $1578 dollars for damages. Two years later (today) i get a letter saying i owe 23000 dollars for bodily injuries and damages sustained by innocent party that my insurance company DID pay because by law given that i had an sr22 provision they had to make the payment. even though at the time of the accident ( almost two years ago) they said they wouldnt pay. Can they do that? Im so worried, any help is appreciated.

I have been looking for used cars in the 10-15 grand range as my second car, currently drive a miata, and I am stuck on a few cars: -01-02 s2000 -01 m5 -01-03 s4 I just recently turned 18, and took my driving test, and passed. I'm a male, about to graduate highschool with above a 3.0 and am already enrolled for a Junior College starting in Fall. I haven't received a violation yet, and I don't think I will any time soon. I was just wondering why insurance on an s2000 is MORE expensive than an m5 or s4.

I was really sold on the s2000 because its 4 cylinders naturally aspirated (cheap on gas), a convertible, and relatively pretty. All of this was great news, until I saw how much insurance would be for this car. Can My car insurance comp. come after me for money they paid out for an accident even though i wasnt insured at the time?

I was in an accident about a year and a half ago. My friend was driving, he wasnt on the policy, he got a ticket for fault of accident. My policy had lapsed 6 days prior to the accident and my insurance company said they would not pay for damages sustained by the innocent party. Thus i paid(as requested by the innocent partys insurance) $1578 dollars for damages. Two years later (today) i get a letter saying i owe 23000 dollars for bodily injuries and damages sustained by innocent party that my insurance company DID pay because by law given that i had an sr22 provision they had to make

the payment. even though at the time of the accident ( almost two years ago) they said they wouldnt pay. Can they do that? Im so worried, any help is appreciated.

So I'm going for my license soon and we're starting to look at cars to get me around. I want something that's pretty easy on gas, reliable, easy on car insurance cost, doesn't cost an arm and a leg but ALSO isn't a tiny car like the Chevy Aveo because most of the people in my family are pretty tall for instance my mom is 5'9 I'm 5'7 /5'8 and my other sisters are also about the same height. I've been thinking about the Prius because I hear it's got some leg room and is easy on gas, but people say that batteries are more harmful than regular ones and all this jazz. Then I thought about the Honda Insight but I heard that the headroom in the back is not comfortable. I was thinking the Hyundai Sonata, but the only model I really like is the 2011 and I don't think the insurance company takes kindly to teenagers driving new cars. Should I Get a Motorcycle or Moped?

Me and my parents are having an argument about what i should get. There is a motorcycle that i can buy for 750 dollars and it is a 93 Honda Shadow or i can get a new moped. The only thing that i need for the motorcycle is a new batter and i know this is true b/c i took it to a trusted shop and have them inspect and clean everything out (the owner payed for that) and it came back clean. I think that the motorcycle would be the better buy but my parents say that a moped would b/c i wouldnt have to pay insurance (the state i live in doesnt require insurance for mopeds). I was just wondering if the cost for a moped would be more upfront than the motorcycle would be and if it would be a better buy. And yes i do have a motorcycle license.
