BURGESS HOWE HOUSE

The Burgess Howe House was constructed in 1840. Its original home was in Mapaville, Missouri. Explore the log cabin and admire the historic collection of antiques that fill the home.

KIMMSWICK HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM

The historic roots of Kimmswick have always been held closely to the heart of the small river town. After the revitalization efforts of Lucianna Gladney Ross began, the Kimmswick Historical Society was formed. The society has been dedicated to the preservation, education, study, and restoration of Kimmswick’s significant historical sites.

MASTADON STATE HISTORIC SITE

The valley of Little Rock Creek, where Kimmswick is located today, was a home for ancient Clovis Culture societies long before the establishment of the town. At the Mastodon State Historic Site, see the preservation of prehistoric Missouri. In the 1800s, the first bones of mastodons and other creatures that once roamed the lands were discovered on this very site in Kimmswick.
