Here at young@heart deeside we are delighted to let you know that we are running our Wee Bundles of Christmas Cheer campaign again this December.
Last Christmas we hand-delivered free goodie bags to the most vulnerable older people in the Howe of Cromar and it was a great success.
This year we are extending the deliveries to Aboyne and hundreds of nomina ons have been made by the public to treat an an older person who may be family, friend or neighbour with a free Christmas parcel.
The parcels include some Christmas treats, handkni ed items, books, diaries and po ed bulbs and the nomina on process was assisted by the Coop and Corner House in Aboyne and Tarland Toy Shop and Tarland Paper Shop.
The goodie bags will be delivered to the care homes of Allachburn and Alastrean as well as Cromar Court in Tarland and Bonty Court in Aboyne, and we are thrilled that Aboyne Academy pupils will be helping us this year to spread the Christmas cheer.

Throughout the season of Advent the Community Life Group of Aboyne-Dinnet Church will also invite the Congrega on and the public to contribute to a ‘Reversed Advent Calendar’.
The idea is that between 28th November and 25th December people can donate a suggested food or toiletry item which ul mately will go into the FareShare shed opposite the Church Hall. In that way someone locally will benefi t from the gi s brought.
The ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ will be posted on the no ce board and on Facebook in order that everyone will know what is needed.
