Derek is 6 years old with an imagination that runs wild. He is always on adventures that are amazing for a child.
Orlando, Florida is where Derek lives and has fun. He is always ready to play, read, draw and run.
To learn the numbers today he will go, Traveling high and traveling low. He will count to twenty, Where numbers are plenty. So now his adventure will begin, On a rocket Derek jumps in.
For the first part of his adventure he will travel to outer space. Looking for aliens in another place.
So now in search for number one, He sees our very bright sun.
Now in search for number two, He find two space ships, one red and one blue.
In the spaceships he saw three, little faces as cute as can be.
All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. When he answered, there was one more making it four.
They had some tasty treats and then went for a drive in the little rocket that sits five.
As they were on their way they saw six, Six meteors the size of bricks.
After a while they picked up Tim and his little brother Kevin, And together they make up seven.
Then they flew by all the planets one through eight, But now it was getting late.
So back to earth Derek had to fly, But first he had to say goodbye.
Down to earth Derek falls in a hurry, To a jungle he falls were the animals are all in a scurry.
All of a sudden there were some monkeys swinging on a vine. There was shouting and singing, he counted nine.
Behind the thick bushes there were gorillas. Some dressed like men. Derek was able to see all ten.
Then Derek was invited to join the group by a kid gorilla named Devin. Now they all make eleven.
The momma gorilla walked over to a bookshelf. She got to read them the books, all twelve.
Then Derek continued on his trip. Now he is in the middle of the ocean on a really big ship.
Thirteen dolphins swim on by, Leaping and diving as Derek waves goodbye.
With fourteen sea turtles in the ocean he swims. They were brothers and sisters, and two were twins.
Then he says goodbye to his new friends and swims to land. There he finds fifteen pretty starfish hidden in the sand.
He builds a sand castle as big as can be. With sixteen seashells where you can see.
He looks up above, and there he can see, seventeen birds flying, making a V.
His journey is almost to its end. In a flower garden some time he wants to spend. Counting the flowers is what Derek will do. Eighteen flowers mostly colored red, white, and blue.
All of a sudden, nineteen 19 butterflies came for a drink. All were beautiful, especially one pink.
He picked the prettiest flower after a rest. He got it for his mom, who really is the best. Derek counted its petals and there were twenty. Twenty little petals that is more than plenty.
Time for Derek to go back home and give mom his flower. Then go in the bathroom and take a nice shower.
Now Derek is back home safe and sound. In his bedroom he could be found.
