Ride the train all around Mt. Etna with a stop in the historic town of Randazzo for a 2.5 hour walking tour. This medieval walled city was devastated in WWII when more than 80% of its houses were destroyed by Allied Forces. We will stop for an Italian panini in town before being transported by bus to the town of Bronte for a pistachio arancini. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for this trip.

Experience this unique Sicilian celebration in Ferla, a small town located in the province of Siracusa. This Holy Saturday celebration is known as “Sciaccariata," which means illumination by torches of fire. We will also see the procession of Madonna and the resurrected Jesus followed by hundreds of torches illuminating the street. (Trip includes midnight mass for those that would like to attend).

Hike Plemmirio Natural Reserve

Cost: $45 (Includes transportation, guide and street food) On this southern Sicilian adventure, we will start by taking a moderately difficult hike through the Plemmirio Natural Reserve stretching from the Port of Ortigia through to the south side of Siracusa. This 10 km coastline, offers natural and WWII historical experiences, as well as well-known agro-food companies. Following the hike, we will stop in Ortigia for street food.

Reccomened Age: 18+ Enjoy a mild hike through the woods surrounding the Gambino Winery. This is a great way to see the western side of Mt. Etna and the lava flow from 2002. Afterward, patrons will tour the Gambino vineyards for a unique opportunity to better understand the natural Sicilian environment and all its offerings. Following the guided tour, patrons will enjoy lunch and a wine tasting.

Ages: 16+ Cost: $135 (Includes fees, transportation and local guides. Bring water and euro for food) Join us as we ascend 3000 meters (or more) up the mountain to enjoy the view of Sicily! This 8-hour, round-trip hike will take participants to the maximum hiking threshold based on the daily condition of volcanic activity. Due to the nature of the trip, there are a very limited number of spots.
