Learn how to make a three-dimensional mask using everyday materials like paper, glue, pipe cleaners, and markers. At the end of the program, you’ll be able to take a completed mask home with you. Walk off the Wait: Makapu’u Lighthouse March 11 – Makapu’u Lighthouse Join us on our latest Walk off the Wait at the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail on Tuesday, March11. The Makapu‘u Point trail, within Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline, offers outstanding views of O‘ahu’s southeastern coastline, including Koko Head and Koko Crater. From the trail’s destination at Makapu‘u Head, one is rewarded with magnificent views of the windward coast and offshore islets, as well as the historic red-roofed Makapu‘u Lighthouse built in 1909, which makes a stunning picture against the deep blue sea below (the lighthouse itself is off-limits). Free transportation will be leaving from the Schofield Barracks Bowling Center parking lot at 8:30 am and returning around 1:00 pm. All ages are welcome and this hike will take place along a paved path. Strollers are welcome too! Blue Star Card Event No-Show Policy If you register for a Blue Star Card event and cannot attend the event, you must cancel your reservation by 12:00 pm (noon) the day before the event. If you fail to cancel your reservation and do not attend, you will be considered a no-show, which will result in you automatically being waitlisted for the next month’s events. It is our goal to include as many Blue Star Card holders as possible in our events, by implementing this policy; we hope to achieve this goal.
