SCREAM FREE MOTHER’S DAY What mother wouldn’t love a little magic in her life to celebrate Mothers’ Day? Whether it is your first Mother’s Day or your 10th, reducing stress at home is a gift that keeps on giving! Your Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program offers a three session series of the 1-2-3 Magic parenting program which focuses on: 1. Controlling obnoxious behavior 2. Encouraging good behavior 3. Strengthening your relationships with your children Imagine next time your family is transitioning from dinner to bedtime and you are able to eliminate fussiness, tantrums, refusals or any other of the creative ways children challenge us at home. As soon as little Suzie refuses to clear the dinner table or take her bath, wouldn’t it be amazing if you could respond with a calm, cool and collected, “That’s 1, that’s 2, that’s 3, take 5?”

What if you were so consistent with this technique that your children learn to expect your response and you never have to make it past two? Troubling behaviors and testing from our children are developmentally appropriate and certainly not insurmountable! When you have a plan of action to address those behaviors, you can face them head on and often times, eliminate them all together!

Join your ACS Ohana for a Summer Fun Celebration!

Army Community Service Summer Open House

Even if you think there is “NO WAY” this would work for your family, our staff of trained professionals can help you critically analyze your current parenting practices and challenges at home, learn how to build upon your families strengths, and build a solid foundation for your family. Anyone who has the drive to be a better parent can learn to manage the challenging behaviors that come along with various stages of development. You could even eliminate shouting or spanking your children all together!
