This semester hasbeenentirelyoffline,whichreturneda comfortingsenseof near-normalcy;asidefromin-person classes,extracurricular clubswereabletooffer their full rangeof events,and it felt likenew opportunitiesto exploreDC that had previously beenclosed(venuesfor food,music,art,and more!)appearedevery day

My coursehighlightsfor thissemester wereabsolutelymy PublicHealthand Frenchcourses PublicHealthisfiercely interesting,and I?ll actually bedeclaringaGlobal Public Healthconcentrationsoon! I plantominor inFrench,but Fall 2022?s?WritingWomen?wasmy favoriteof the coursessofar It focused onfemaleFrenchwritersthrough the19thand20th centuries,includingliteraturesuchas Colette?sLaVagabondeandSand?sLaPetiteFadette;our discussionfocused strongly onthefemaleexperienceand what it meant tobeafemalewriter,whichoverall ledtoan incredibly thought-provokingsemester!

Outsideof classes,I continuetobeamember of theChi Omegasorority,and recently took twolovely new membersasLittleSisters! I alsowent onfuntripswithour outdoor activitiesclub,andplayed theroleof Sandrinein our student theatrecompany?sproductionof Almost, Maine.InSeptember,I wastrainedasaserver at a restaurant oncampus Whileoccasionally challenging,it hasbeenanexcitingnew experience,and ultimately providesanicebalancetomy sparetime Inadditionto findingnew friendshipsinthestaff,I?vehad fascinating conversationswithprofessionalsof variousfields (includingafew diplomats)that endupat my tables!

I truly had themost wonderful semester yet,andfor that (and so,somuch more),I amunfathomably grateful to everyoneinvolvedwithMVYouth:tothecommunity that organizesit,tothedonorswhosustainit,andtoLindsey whotellsushow proudsheisinevery email I amso excitedfor next semester,and I amsograteful toyouall for makingit possible!!! 50
