Thispast year hasbeeneventful andincredibly busy sincestartinginthe Securitized ProductsGroup(SPG)at MorganStanley slightlyover ayear ago AsI havegottenmoreacclimatedto my role,I havebeenableto takeonmoreresponsibility,lead,andsignoff onanumber of projects and dealsrollinguptosenior management withinSPGandMorgan Stanley,morebroadly.

Outsideof work,MorganStanley offersmany programsfor employees tovolunteer and giveback tosurroundingcommunitiesandbeyond. Fortunately,I had theopportunityto partakeinamentorshipprogram whereseveral colleaguesand I volunteeredasmentorstothestudents, many of whomcomefromminority backgrounds,at theBusinessof SportsSchool inmidtownManhattan Thementorshipprogramis structuredasseveral sessionseachsemester,focusingonacoretheme most relevant to thestudents Thepast fall semester,wefocused on helpingthejunior studentswiththeir collegeessaysandapplications I ameager tocontinuevolunteeringasamentor intheprogramwhenit kicksoff againinthespring MorganStanley alsoofferscountless opportunitiestodonatetocharitiesand support different causes,which hasbeenanenlighteningexperiencetolearnmoreabout and contribute tocharitiesand causesother colleaguesalsocareabout
