I spent thispast summer inBostonasaninternat FGSGlobal (formerlySardVerbinnen& Co ),a strategiccommunicationsfirm At FGSI was affordedtheopportunitytowitnessavariety of communication-relatedsituationsunfoldacrossa variety of different industries Over thecourseof thesummer I workedonbothgroupandindividual projectsthat werepresentedto thefirmat theend of theprogram.I amsofortunatetotakewithme invaluablelessonsfromobservingand workingto support ahost of professionalswithabreadthof experienceandexpertiseinthefield of communications

Thisyear I?vealsoenjoyedcontinuingmy involvement withtheUndergraduateGovernment of BostonCollegeandtheBostonCollegeDance Ensemble,bothof whichhaveled tosomeof my most cherishedmemoriesat BC.Asthesefour yearscometoanendall toosoon,I amcontinuously remindedof my immeasurablegratitudefor MVYouthandyour indispensablesupport

Thissemester I hadtwoamazingly educational classes.I took community healthandfamily healthwhereI learnedto carefor pediatric patients,pregnant women,and membersof the community outsideof thehospital setting Theseclasseshelpedmeexpand my knowledge and I havebecomemoreeager topassmy boardsand get toapply thisknowledgetothe real world My best experiencethissemester wasmy clinical rotation My clinical rotation wasat UMassMemorial Hospital Duringthis clinical experience,I shadowed anurseand caredfor patients Whileworkingalongside thesenurses,I got totakenotesonhow they helpedtheir patientsandbegandevelopingmy clinical skills Thisclinical helped megain confidenceintheclinical skillsthat I will be usingwithinthenext year
