Hi sealies! Happy December! It’s crazy to think that we are at the last month of 2020. Thank you to everyone who continues to attend our Zoom meetings and participate in our events! It makes me happy to know that you guys are still participating despite everything that is going on. We also have some exciting plans for December and I hope you will all enjoy what we put out! This year certainly has been tough but I’m hopeful that things will get better soon! I hope you all have a wonderful December.

In love and service, Amy Lov

Hello seals! It’s the holiday season and I can’t wait for winter break! School has definitely been stressful so remember to take care of yourself! Some reminders: - You’re enough! - Drink water! - I am so so proud of you! I absolutely love the holiday season because I associate it with good memories! Watching movies under a cozy blanket and drinking hot chocolate or horchata is definitely a tradition I love doing during the holidays. I hope you enjoy this issue of the Sealy Times. Happy holidays! Feel free to contact me on Instagram about anything :) @youraveragebandgeek Your historian and editor, Marissa Pe <3

It is the season of giving so we asked our club members, “What does service mean to you?” These are their responses :) “Giving someone something for charity or for profit that can benefit them in someway.” “Service to me is a chance to help out the community and maybe put a smile on someone’s face.” “It’s a form of reciprocation. I can give back to the community.” “Service is helping out those in need and making their day just a little bit better.”

Happy holidays! Because the spirit of the holidays are coming soon, we asked our members what they do during the holidays. “I stay home and play Just Dance with my sisters.” “I spend time with my obnoxious and chaotic family. Fun times!” “I vibe with my family and help then cook dinner and then we just watch movies for the day :)” “Stay home and make food! :D” “I usually would go to my grandma’s house and hang out with her and the family but this year it will just be me with my immediate family.” “Sometimes we go see the Christmas lights people set up.”

Cranes for Cancer Cranes for Cancer was a virtual service events where members had the opportunity to make digital paper cranes for children on the Cranes4Cancer website. “Personally, I felt that the Cranes for Cancer event was a good way to give those with cancer, hope, especially during these times. The cranes along with their messages served as a way to comfort and encourage others. Cancer is a hard enough obstacle, but along with the pandemic, the event and the message behind it serve a good purpose which is to comfort others. - Anonymous, ‘23
