Ford SYNC 3 gives you control of everything from audio features to satellite navigation (where ﬁtted), and will even manage phone calls, apps and text messaging – all through simple voice commands. Cross Trafﬁc Alert

Know when it’s clear.

As you reverse from a perpendicular parking space, Cross Trafﬁc Alert scans left and right. If a moving vehicle or other hazard is detected, it is designed to give visual and audible alert warnings. Similarly, the Blind Spot Information System is designed to alert you via discreet warning lights built into the door mirrors, when another vehicle enters your blind spot while driving. Optional with Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) on all series except Style and ST-1

Driver Alert Designed to inform you if the system detects driving behaviour that indicates a drop in alertness levels. Initially, a warning icon is displayed in the instrument cluster, asking you to take a rest. If driving alertness further declines, the message is repeated and combined with a chime. Active at all speeds, Pre-Collision Assist is designed to help you when it detects an imminent impact with a moving vehicle ahead. First it gives you a visual and audible warning, then, if you fail to react, applies the brakes. Available with Adaptive cruise control optional on Titanium and Titanium X

Lane-Keeping System (LaneKeeping Alert and LaneKeeping Aid)

Rear-view camera Select reverse gear and the rear-view camera comes on automatically in the navigation display, allowing you to see objects behind your car. Special guidance graphics indicate the width and centre line of the car, based on the steering angle, for safer and easier manoeuvring. There are two key features of the Ford Lane-Keeping System. Lane-Keeping Alert is designed to help the driver keep the vehicle within its driven lane. Steering wheel feedback alerts you if an unintended lane departure is likely to happen. Lane-Keeping Aid is designed to apply steering torque back towards that lane, to help prevent an unintended lane departure. Lane-Keeping System is available at speeds over 40 mph on highways and interurban roads with visible markings, and can be overridden by the driver or the turn indicator at any time. Fuel consumption is directly affected by the length of the journey, number of passengers and amount of load carried, individual driving style, road and traffic conditions, weather conditions, vehicle age, mileage, condition and standard of maintenance, use of vehicle features such as air conditioning and any modifications to the vehicle such as the addition of a roof rack. Your fuel economy will vary based on these and other factors and for these reasons many drivers may not achieve the EU fuel economy figures in day to day driving although the vehicle is technically capable of doing so.

Load retention systems*

Robust retention systems keep luggage in the load compartment of your Ford Focus estate. Behind the second row a net (option and accessory) and a guard (accessory) can be installed. This guard can even be extended with a longitudinal load compartment divider (accessory). For fitment behind the first row, only a guard is available (accessory), but it requires the fixation brackets ordered ex-works (option).

Tow bars

The retractable tow bar is constantly stored out of sight below the rear bumper and will be electricallyreleased when needed for towing, thereby retaining the car’s sleek looks. Also available is a detachable tow bar as well as ﬁxed tow bar. All three variants are available as an option and accessory. While towing, the standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC) ensures that trailer sway is counteracted.
