The first railroad appeared in 1875, built to a terminus in Gravenhurst, before being extended to Bracebridge and Huntsville.

Dyer Memorial - Dyer Memorial is a stone monument reaching toward the heavens, at the top of which rest the cremated remains of two remarkable people. Clifton Dyer, a successful lawyer from Detroit in the United States, erected the structure as final resting place for his wife Betsy Brown.

Portage Flyer - Take a ride on the famous “Portage Flyer” train for a pleasant and memorable ride. There’s no bad seat in the historic and authentic open-sided coaches “Algonquin” and “Iroquois” and the journey

Tom Thomson Statue - The Tom Thomson statue was a gift to the Town of Huntsville on behalf of a generous list of donors. There is also a dedication on the canoe, it reads: To the Memory of Tom Thomson 1877 – 1917. An artist, woodsman, guide and dreamer, whose brilliant vision defined the Canadian wilderness and captured the majesty and many colourful moods of Algonquin Park. The project was a two year commitment on behalf of sculptor Brenda WainmanGoulet.

Mary Lake Falls and Indian Landing Located in Port Sydney, this isn’t the biggest waterfall in Muskoka, but the gentle chute is still quite beautiful.
