Playlist Magnolia de la Garza In this series the Museo Tamayo seeks to make known the work of contemporary artists who form part of musical groups, whether because this activity fits in with its artistics proposal or it is taken as an alternative to the rest of its production. Volume will be the scene for becoming acquainted with these contemporary musical proposals through acoustic shows, with music of different genres, besides performances, activities and interviews, as presented in this issue.

Its name is El Resplandor (The Shining) and it is formed by Pía Camil and Esteban and Ana José Aldrete. It is an art collective. It classifies itself as: unclassifiable, actually. The group creates music as much as it stages performances or uses other visual art media. Fitting with its essence, what follows is a brief but intense and resounding history of the group. Highway The project was born on a road trip. It features three people, whose names are purposefully subsumed by the group’s: El Resplandor. If this band’s members have something in common, it is a lack of formal training in music; they studied visual arts or performing arts, which is perhaps why the band is about more than just the music.
