he intoxicating smell of Hickory smoke surrounded the Lantana Community Event Center on June 19th for the Inaugural BBQ Cook-Off. The Lantana Dads, Bourbon, and BBQ group hosted the event alongside Ashtin Slovak with the

Lantana Community Association in support of resident Michael Carnell and his family. When the Lantana Dads group heard

one of their own was going through a

battle with cancer, they put their passion for serving others into action. Shawn

Chelf, Bryce Swihart, Jason Hawley, Jason Peebles, and Matt Kipp worked tirelessly putting together the successful event.
