THE COLONY COUPLE SAVED BY CORINTH RESIDENT
Corinth resident Lamar Woodham saved The Colony residents James Hasty and Nekima Horton from drowning in Lewisville Lake. Hasty and Horton were on jet skis when clear skies quickly turned into a huge storm causing waves to reach 5 feet high. They were both flipped off their jet ski and the current pushed the jet ski away from them. After an hour and a half of wading in the water Woodham was able to find them in the middle of the lake and pulled them onto his jet ski and took them back to safety.

COACH PARKER MAKES LEARNING FUN
Coach Parker is making learning more interesting for the Fire Academy and EMT students. The students made fake, but realistic-looking, wounds on each other to facilitate learning through their skin and inflammation unit. This not only makes learning more fun but also helps those who are more visual learners to fully comprehend the lessons. This is for their Anatomy and Physiology portion for Allied Health class. photo courtesy of Lake Dallas ISD Facebook page
