The Reader’s Alphabet 2007. Done as a graphic design project for my client Midland Bookshop, the poster was well liked by the readers. We reprinted it twice to meet the demands. In 2008 it is living a second life after Notcot featured it. Copywriter Graphic Designer Art Director Illustrator Awards One Show AAAI Gold Design Yatra

Once upon a time in Barcelona. Once upon a time in Barcelona a story was told on a wall. The story of two kings. The king of grass and the king of clay. It is said they had absolute dominion over their kingdoms. No one could defeat them, let alone challenge them. And this made them lazy and fat and most of all sad. After all, what's life without challenges? Then one day they came face to face with each other. So they started to fight. And game after game they made each other faster, stronger and better, ever after. (Translated from Spanish). Sure enough this wall is doing healthy rounds of the blogosphere. My guess is, people like it. Copywriter Graphic Designer Art Director Illustrator

DNA We launched DNA, an English daily for Mumbai without any press or TV. We had the outdoors to convince Mumbai to embrace the newspaper before it was launched. We ended up having 350,000 subscribers by the time we reached the second phase of the campaign. Here’s a snapshot from the second phase of the campaign which got Mumbai talking, discussing, cursing.

Which book are you reading? Here is an excerpt from the newspaper, Indian Express, dated August 12, 2006. The Little Red Book Sumana Mukherjee New Delhi, August 12: Best-sellers are the Baigs’ business. But even they seem bewildered by the popularity of the newest books to hit their in-demand lists. Four inches square and 12 pages long, the miniature tomes titled after three pathbreaking works of the previous century are rapidly emerging as Delhi’s most sought-after collectibles. ‘‘I’m sorry, I have two, not the third,’’ Mirza Afsar Baig tucks in an apology in between handling at least four customers, directing one lackey to look for Meera Uberoi’s book on gardening, referring another to a particular corner to dig out Ginsberg for a touseled-haired youth and organising the gift-wrapping for a child’s choice for a birthday gift. ‘‘Actually, we never realised these would be so much in demand.’’

I hate wasting a good idea When I was looking for a job in London, Fallon asked me to write some radio spots for Bravia. I wrote some and sent them. Fallon never got in touch after that. Well, I loved what I wrote and I converted them into a shoe campaign for an agency in Germany. Got a Clio for it. Copywriter Graphic Designer Art Director Illustrator
