Students of some schooling curriculums are given direct access to start bachelor degree in Germany whereas students of certain schooling curriculum have to acquire additional qualification in order to qualify for bachelor degree in Germany. German universities set following requirements for the students who have completed CBSE or any other Indian curriculum from India and would like to study bachelor degree in Germany.
General Requirements Students must have acquired at least 50% marks in higher secondary school certificate (Grade 12th). Students from CBSE curriculum (or any other Indian curriculum) don’t qualify for direct admission in bachelor degree in Germany. They have further three options to apply for admission in bachelor degree. 1. Students can attend Foundation year (Studienkolleg) at a German public university or at a private institute and take final exam called Feststellungsprüfung (FSP). 2. Students can successfully complete 1 year of university education in the intended field, after the completion of 12th grade and become eligible to apply for bachelor degree in Germany 3. Students have also option to pass the “Main” and “Advanced” sections of Joint Entrance Exam of Indian Institute of Technology. If they pass the above mentioned section, they don’t need to do a foundation year or one year of university education.
