The People’s Advocate is 100% locally owned, written and published. East Arnhem Land’s official magazine, written by locals for locals. Similar to the region, EAL’s magazine is the first of its kind, unique and raw to the bone, in hope that community ignite, together, and challenge the status quo of society norms. The People’s Advocate is a cast iron camp oven bursting with intriguing flavors and Mareva has passionately shared her personal stories in hope that they positively impact the people near and far. Mareva has a very loyal sense of moral integrity and has been accountable for her responsibilities, both personally and professionally from a young age. Mareva is a passionate social justice and human rights advocate, which she passionately portraits in a very black and white manner throughout her writing. It is evident that Mareva’s affiliation with East Arnhem Land for the past 37 years, is unfathomable, as is her respect, love and gratitude, for the richness we have received
