203 Detail Newbold Leroy Edgar | 1863-1924 Mr. Edgar was a very affluent attorney and an avid sportsman. He was married to Countess Marie de Forest Manice, a prominent member of New York and European society. He had a number of residences in New York including a stately home on Main Street in Southampton. He would often go big game hunting in Canada but one of his favored sporting locations was Montauk, Long Island where he enjoyed fox hunting and especially waterfowling.
