The Story The timeless fairy tale becomes a new audience favorite in Disney’s CINDERELLA KIDS, an adaptation of the treasured animated film. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends, and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince, and falls in love! With a classic Disney score, this musical will charm its way into your heart and remind you that dreams really can come true. The Songs
The Tale of Cinderella; A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes; The Work Song; Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo
Ways To Expand The Chorus of Mice can be expanded infinitely – a great opportunity to involve primary -age children. Although there are four Narrators indicated in the script, you can cast more – dividing up the scenes and lines as required by the size of your cast. Musical Difficulty The music demands of this show are very light, with solos for Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, and a few lead mice. Most numbers are ensemble, with very simple unison singing. Staging Demands Simple instructions for transforming the pumpkin into a magical carriage are included on the Choreographic DVD included in the ShowKit™. Considerations Disney’s CINDERELLA KIDS has many great featured speaking roles with minimal solo singing. This is a perfect show for large ensembles, and most roles can be played by boys or girls and do not require strong vocal skills.
