Phase Three Advanced Manual Therapy with Naqi Overview • This course is a one-day hands on workshop exploring ‘advanced’ manual therapy techniques • Neurophysiology of manual therapy techniques • Learn a variety of ‘advanced’ manual therapy techniques • Apply these techniques immediately alongside your existing range of movement and movement testing

Pre-Course: • You will have completed Phase 1 and 2 of the MSK diploma or an equivalent qualification (Level 4/5 Sports Massage)

During the morning session you will: • Explore the current scientific basis behind all manual therapy techniques and how they can influence pain • Have an understanding of the properties of connective tissue and the mechanoreceptors in fascia • Apply the following techniques: • Muscle Energy Techniques • Soft Tissue Release (Active and Passive release) • Myofascial ‘release’ technique • Positional Release • ‘Trigger point’ technique • We apply these techniques to each region of the body during this workshop. We will use your current knowledge of range of motion and movement analysis to establish a baseline. Apply the taught techniques and then re-assess to monitor any change.

Assessment • Complete a video to be posted to our private course group of 3 x upper body MET’s and 3 x lower body MET’s
