Syok! Malaysia Syok! Malaysia is a collaborative effort of all the Malaysian student societies in Canberra, with the aim to celebrate and showcase Malaysian culture, foods and heritage to the community. Based on the theme of delighting the five senses, Syok Malaysia will bring various aspects of Malaysian culture to live on the day, be it tasting our diverse food or watching traditional dances of the different races, or trying your hand at batik painting and other crafts. Snow Adventure August 11th was an early day for participants of the annual Snow Adventure. 48 members visited Thredbo for an exciting winter experience. Members were treated with a widely complimented fried rice before making their way up the snowy slopes of the Thredbo Snowy Mountains. We had our share of bruises and cuts, but also laughter and joy. Thanks to the sponsorship department, members managed to get an all-time lowest price of $125 for this great experience. Event organizer Hunter missed the fun due to personal agenda, but we thank him for his effort in making the event a success!

Malam Kenduri Who would dare to miss the grandest event by MSO? On 25th August, we had our night of the year at Theo Notaras Multicultural Center with the theme—Dance Dance Malaysia. Featuring delicious Malaysian cuisine and traditional dance performances, members also stood a chance to win the raffle grand prize—a trip to Koh Samui for 2! On the other hand, the Best Dress awards for the night went to Radin and Sheila, congrats (and thanks for your performance)! Recipes for dishes served would be updated soon at our official website: http://mso.weblogs.anu.edu.au/
