1940s Elizabeth Stroud Giordano
’46, on the death of her husband, Howard Peter Giordano. Nancy Weiland Lanahan ’49, on
the death of her sister, Helen Marie Rie Weiland Noble and the death of her brother, Donald M. Weiland.
1950s Willa Byrne Cericola ’52 loves the Mount magazine and the inspiring articles. Five in her family including herself attended the Mount, her sister, Joan Byrne O’Brien ’46 (deceased), her nieces, Robin Willa O’Brien ’70, Diedra O’Brien Burns ’72 and great niece, Susana O’Brien ’95. When they get together they sing the school song. Great memories!

Dorothy Gallagher Hordubay ’56 is still busy living in three states and enjoying all of them. Winters in South Beach Miami, and summers in Avalon, in between Maryland. Trying to be 75 years young!
Suzanne Foster Hynes ’62 and husband, Steve, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year with their children and grandchildren on a Caribbean sailing charter. It was a fabulous trip with just the ten of them and captain and cook. Grandchildren are growing up too quickly already ages 12 thru 16. She is fortunate to have them nearby in Collegeville and Blue Bell.

Claire Boyer Miller ’59 is married with three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She moved to Florida 40 years ago and with her husband, Jack, started a privately owned restaurant chain, Miller’s Ale House. At this point in time there are 70 locations, four locations in Pennsylvania and four in New Jersey. Most are in Florida, including 12 in Orlando. For the past ten years they have summered in Ocean City, Maryland. Claire would love to reach out to other classmates.

Catherine Palumbo Santoro ’62 would like to announce that her son got married in September 2014. Christine Moore Conley ’66 is retired and living in North Fort Myers, Florida enjoying the weather. Dorothy Farley ’67, on the death

Susan Smith Daniels ’68 is enjoying splitting her time between Iowa (home for 32 years) and San Diego, where she loves spending time with Beth Lunney ’68 and Mrs. Frances “Tink” Rambo, who taught PE at the Mount for several years. Cecilia Haskins ’69 is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is moving this summer into a new flat in Bergen.
1970s Mary Katherine McCormack Walton ’70 co-edited a textbook for nurses and health care administrators, published by the National Honor Society of Nursing: Person and Family Centered Care. Enjoying international travel in 2014 after all the writing and editing. She traveled to Columbia, South America with Mount classmate, Anne Duffey Cunningham ’70, whose brother opened a beautiful hotel near the University in Medellin. She also traveled to Greece and Spain with nursing colleagues. This fall in California, she will be presenting at the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.
