PERFECT LIGHTING Lighting can determine a lot about a room. It has the ability to completely change the atmosphere and feel, but also contribute to elements of the design in various ways. Therefore, lighting is actually a very powerful and significant part of any room. We thought we would talk to you about how to find the perfect lighting for your kitchen. The options are endless and you can use lighting in all kinds of different ways, so we wanted to share with you some of our favourites and give you some inspiration on how to make your kitchen look great with the right style of lighting.
Chandeliers If you are looking to splash out on your kitchen and give it a really impressive makeover, chandeliers are a great addition to have. This style of lighting is very classy and they often create a focal point in the room. This stunning type of lighting tends to be picked purely to enhance the features of the room and really bring it to life with a whole new look. However, most chandeliers are quite big in size, and so they are practical too as they provide a strong source of lighting for the whole kitchen.
Pendant Lighting Another rather classy style of lighting, is pendant lighting. This looks particularly great in kitchens. Again, this type of lighting comes in all different shapes, sizes and designs, allowing you to find the perfect match for your kitchen. Perhaps you want something to hang quite low and draw attention to a particular area of the room. A lot of people choose pendant lighting to accompany a kitchen island, as this highlights the area and provides a great source of lighting should you use this as a social or dining space.
LED Cabinet Lighting LED cabinet lighting is one of the finer details when it comes to kitchen lighting. Of course, this has to accompany another source of lighting, but cabinet lighting is used to highlight areas and provide extra light to corners of the kitchen that your main source of lighting doesn’t reach. This makes cabinet lighting very practical, as it provides extra light when preparing food in your kitchen, therefore making tasks easier for you.
Spotlights Spotlights are arguably one of the most popular styles of kitchen lighting. They are practical, affordable, and easy to fix or replace. Furthermore, they provide an excellent source of light for the entire room as they distribute it to all areas. As well as this, they are quite simplistic, yet compliment just about any design or colour scheme you have going on in your kitchen. It’s not hard to see why a lot of people opt for spotlights to enhance their kitchen!
