How to: download videos from Discovery Video Streaming and save it to the Media1 file on your shared school drive. When you download a video segment, you save a copy of the file on your computer or network for future access.
1. Go to the Discovery Education website: http://streaming.discoveryeducation.com/ 2. Type in your Username and Password and click Login 3. Find the movie or video segment you would like to download 4. Click on the little box to the right of the video name 5. Click on the Download icon 6. A downloading box will open and will show the progress (unless it is a small file) 7. Once it is open and playing in a different window/program, click on File then Save As...
or if there is no File option at the top of the screen, right click in the bottom right hand corner of the video, click on File then Save As...
8. Navigate to the S: drive (shared drive) 9. Navigate to the Media1 folder
10. Create a new folder (if it has not been done yet) named Videos 11. In the name field, type in the name for the video. Keep the .wmv, .asp at the end of the video name and Save 12. The download dialog box will appear. When it goes away you have been successful!
