Good Golly Miss Molly!

Sat 4 April – Sat 2 May

One of the biggest hits in New Vic history, Good Golly Miss Molly! is a powerful, music-fuelled, feel-good drama that bursts back onto the stage this spring as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations.

At the frontline of a community fighting for survival, their vibrant street faces demolition. But Molly Gordon and her band of neighbours are refusing to go quietly. Gathered together in the local workingmen’s club, Molly’s even managed to reunite her former rock ‘n’ roll band, Ronnie Devil and The Angels.

As the fate of their homes is decided, the residents of Victoria Street relive the community’s past, and the triumphs and tragedies of their daily lives. But is there a future for their street?

Pulsing with energy, nostalgia and a foot-stomping soundtrack of rock ‘n’ roll hits from an era gone by, Good Golly Miss Molly! charts the history of one local community against a backdrop of social turmoil, societal changes and tumultuous friendships. A story of defiance, solidarity and unbreakable community spirit in the face of adversity, this feel-good show is as relevant as ever!

Adapted from the novel by

Directed by Theresa

Sat 23 May – Sat 20 June

One of the New Vic’s biggest and best-loved hits returns - just in time for our 40th anniversary year.

Mysterious, fabulously wealthy and just a little bit eccentric, Phileas Fogg makes a bet that he can circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days. As he sets out on his quest alongside his trusty valet Passepartout, his journey takes him through the misty alleys of Victorian London, across the subcontinent and through the Wild West, travelling by any means necessary.

Join us as eight actors take on 109 characters, six trains, five boats, two dances, one storm, a circus act and an elephant.

First seen here at the New Vic, this celebrated production has played to audiences half-way around the world, including a run on Broadway, New York. Now, complete with original cast members Andrew Pollard, Michael Hugo, Dennis Herdman and Pushpinder Chani, this joy-filled show is back – and you won’t want to miss it!
