MRH Forum Policy: The downside of the MRH forum (actually all web forums) is that it’s way too easy to get carried away and post things you wouldn’t dream of saying to someone in person. At MRH our goal is to avoid editing or deleting posts because they disagree with us (or point out that we made a real goober of a mistake somewhere). However, posts that call people names are NOT acceptable. You may receive an email from the staff asking you to edit or remove such a post. We may, at our sole option, edit or delete such a post ourselves. Before clicking ‘send’, always ask yourself, “is this post appropriate Page 16 • Issue 11-10 • Oct 2011 • MRH Staff Notes, page 4

or is it merely a heated response?” Remember, a gentle answer turneth away wrath (and avoids flame wars and moderator intervention). The vast majority of posts on our forum are NOT incendiary. We take a measure of satisfaction that the MRH Forum is one of the best behaved around. Let’s all act responsibly to keep it that way.

Author reminder If you have a wonderful idea for an article, we’d like to hear about it. Send a proposal through the article submission page on the mrhmag.com site. Look under the Authors item in the menu bar at the top of each page to learn how to use the submission system. When you submit an article or a proposal please include your full name, phone number and e-mail and street addresses (and embed it in your text or doc files). Package each article submission in a zip file (if you don’t have a zip utility try ZipCreator. It’s free and easy to use). Attach the zip file to your submission. It’s much easier for us to handle a single file instead of multiple files.

We’ll try to get back to you in a week or two but often, when we’re in a crunch, it may take longer. Sometimes things fall in the cracks and get lost. If you’ve not heard back from us for several weeks, send an e-mail asking about your article’s status.
