Xerox EIP lets businesses adapt their MFPs with customized customized applications to streamline workflows No matter how big or small the business, the job of IT is to help make people more productive, information more effective, and the entire process more efficient. Now Xerox MFPs can be customized to include personal interfaces for each user. Xerox EIP is a software platform that allows developers to use standard, Web-based tools to create server-based applications that can be configured for the MFP’s user interface. With EIP, businesses can turn complicated document workflows into simple push-button operations at the User Interface (UI). Users can easily transform hardcopy documents into digital files through a personalized interface, which means the Xerox MFP can adapt to the way users work, and not the other way around. EIP provides the ability --- through applications --- for users to gain access to network folders right from the MFP and get access to critical business documents without their computer and without leaving the Xerox device. IT controls the rights and privileges of every user, and MFPs with customized capabilities can be more tightly integrated into the IT environment. By integrating MFP solutions into existing network infrastructure, IT can manage centralized solutions from anywhere in the world, and help expand and adapt the company’s MFPs along with business needs. As a Web-based platform, EIP allows IT or its third-party developers to develop new applications using regular HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript. It also uses standard security protocols------HTTPS and SSL. Some examples of EIP-enabled capabilities include: •
