"Marites" have evolved as social media platforms such as Facebook and Messenger have become more useful, particularly during the pandemic I've noticed that, because of COVID 19, these people utilize social media to gossip rather than gather around with their fellow Marites These people might simply post in their timeline or forward a message about issues and rumors they've heard or received from others, resulting in faster dissemination
"Marites" is the "national nickname" for Filipinos who scrutinize and discuss rumors and every issue inside and even outside their barangay.
