June 2019 PRAYER CALENDAR

Habakkuk 3:2 Charity Number: SC004271

1 Lord, we pray for a fresh spiritual awakening in our congregation. Send your Holy Spirit upon us all and clothe us with power from on high. Alleluia.

8 Prayer is refusing to carry things ourselves. It is the practice of loading the things that are too heavy for us onto the shoulders of Jesus. Don’t bear your own burdens, or those of others. Pray for them and load them onto Jesus.

2 Choose five people you can pray for to come to know Jesus. Keep praying for them daily.

9 In God’s kingdom to admit you’re weak is to

be strong. To come clean that you’re broken, is actually to be whole. To ask for help shows how together you really are. Jesus is here, right by your side to help you. What could He help you with today?

3 Are you close to Jesus today? Are you walking, stumbling, trying to step through mud toward Jesus? Or are you slowly drifting away? Come back to Him today. Turn around if you’ve been facing the wrong direction; turn that walk into a run if you’re already heading towards Him. I follow you Jesus because…. Pray for your five to follow Jesus too.

10 God knows everything about you and yet He adores you. Even though we might not deserve it, we truly are adored. How will it change your day today to really know - deep down- that you are loved and adored by the God who made the universe? Pray that your five will realise that God adores them.

4 Do you ever find yourself blown away by who

Jesus is, and by the fact that He’s with you? Today, try to list ten things which are worth praising Him for. I praise you Jesus for…. Pray your five come to praise Jesus themselves.

5 God doesn’t give people what they deserve, or

have earned, He gives gifts. It’s all an utter gift. Your health. Your friends. Your family. Your future. Everything. Our response to this should be thankful. What are you thankful for today? Thank God for your five and the gift they are to you.

11 There is often little in life to get excited

about. Take some time today to list the things about God that are worth celebrating.

12 Stop. Breathe in deeply. Hold it. Breathe out. Take 10 breaths and listen to the silence. Allow God to fill the space.

6 God, I’m sorry for the things that have spoiled

my life. I must have offended you in it all as well. Please forgive me and help me to forgive myself. I ask that you would come into my life right now through your Spirit and make me the kind of person you want me to be. Pray your five will know God’s forgiveness.

7 All through history, the people who’ve seen God do the most have simply given Him everything, even if they didn’t have very much. Today, whatever you have to give- your time, your skills, your money, your heart- offer it all to God.

13

There is so much pain and hardship in our world and it is because all is not well that we pray Thy Kingdom Come. We pray: Jesus, please bring change, make things different as only You can.

14 “My presence will go with you and I will give you rest” Exodus 33:14 Give thanks today for the peace we have through knowing Jesus.

15 “Pray without ceasing”

1 Thes 5:17 Help us Lord to become a more prayerful church.

16 Lord today we bring before you all those

who are mourning the loss of a loved one. We pray for comfort & strength and that they will have an over- whelming feeling of Your presence with them.

17 As holiday time approaches we pray for

the visitors who come to Prestwick. We give thanks for those who worship with us during holiday time, we are truly blessed by their presence at our worship.

18 “I took my troubles to the Lord;

I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.” Psalm 120:1

19 “Obey God’s message! Don’t fool yourself by just listening to it. If you hear the message but don’t obey it you are like people who stare at themselves in the mirror and forget what they look like as soon as they leave.” James 1:22-24

20 “Remember you will always reap what

you sow, so don’t get tired of doing good. Don’t get discouraged and give up for we will reap a harvest of blessing.” Galaltians 6:7-9

21 Father God, I pray for the work of Christian Aid. May the money raised benefit those in great need around the world.
