Youth Weight Room Orientation

Ages 12+

Gym/Fitness attendants are available by appointment to show you how all the strength and cardio machines can be used and adjusted. Orientation includes weight room etiquette and guidance on using selectorized machinery and cardio equipment. Price is $35 for residents and $40 for nonresidents.

A one-time Weight Room Orientation is required for anyone between the ages of 12-15 who wishes to use the Wellness Hub, Cardio Bridge, track or Terrace without adult supervision (age 16+).

INBODY ASSESSMENT Ages 12+

The InBody test provides a quick and accurate body composition analysis that provides a detailed breakdown of your weight in terms of muscle, fat and water. A printout of your results will be given and interpreted for your understanding. Appointments are required and will be with a Certified Personal Trainer. Price is $25 for both residents and nonresidents.

Passholders only

All fitness classes take place at the WREC. The classes in yellow are included in the WREC pass and are available at no additional cost to passholders. Those that do not have a WREC Pass but wish to take a group fitness class must register for any class. If you wish to drop in just for one day, there is a $10 Drop-In fee.

Group Exercise Classes

AB-SOLUTE FITNESS

Ages: 16+

This is not your typical workout. It takes heart-pumping music and kettlebell moves and combines them in 40 minutes of calorie-torching fun! This program uses lightweight kettlebells, in both traditional and nontraditional ways, to create a fun, effective full-body workout. (Min 1/Max 25)

BOOT CAMP

Ages: 16+

Boot Camp classes consist of cardiovascular work, speed and endurance training, partner resistance, strength training with dumbbells, body bars, kettlebells, medicine ball drills and plyometrics! Participants can gain strength, tone up, build muscle and lose weight. (Min 1/Max 25)

CARDIO AND CORE

Ages: 16+

This cardiovascular exercise class includes aerobics, HIIT and Tabata combined with core-strengthening exercises. (Min 1/Max 25)

FIT & STRONG FOR SENIORS

Ages: 60+

This class is designed to improve range of motion, help maintain bone density, flexibility and increase muscular strength. (Min 1/Max 25)

GENERATION POUND®

Ages: 6-12

The program fuses movement and music to improve focus, coordination, fitness and teamwork skills for "Rock Stars in Training." (Min 7/Max 25)

POUND®

Ages: 12+

Sweat. Sculpt. Rock. POUND® is the world's first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. (Min 7/Max 25)

POUND® Unplugged

Ages: 12+

Balance focused, high-intensity exercises with restorative movements, rhythmic breathing and meditation in this 45-minute class. Quick, efficient and challenging, this workout guides participants through a deeply intentional journey designed to promote the health and fitness of the whole person — mental, physical and emotional. No class OCT 31. (Min 7/Max 25)

PUMP

Ages: 16+

Get your cardio and strength workout all-in-one with this class that uses strength intervals mixed with short bursts of cardio to build muscular strength and endurance. (Min 1/Max 25)

SILVERSNEAKERS® CIRCUIT SilverSneakers® Only Alternate upper-body strength work with low-impact cardio to maximize fitness benefits. This class is available to SilverSneakers® Passholders only. (Min 1/ Max 25)

STRENGTH INTERVALS

Ages: 16+

Uses intervals to focus on strength training for the entire body with cardiovascular training mixed in at varying intensities. (Min 1/Max 25)

STRONG NATION® BY ZUMBA®

Ages: 12+

STRONG Nation® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep and maybe even five more. This class is only offered in September. (Min 7/Max 25)

SYNRGY360

TRX Ages: 16+

Get your strength training and your cardio all in one fun, challenging class! This class alternates between exercises that build strength and balance and medium to high-intensity cardio intervals both on and off the TRX.

ZUMBA®

Ages: 16+

Classes include explosive small group circuit programs designed by our personal trainers to challenge you on all levels — all based around a single training rig. Revolve around our Synrgy360 from station to station and try out the different functional exercises under expert guidance.

Ages: 12+

With heart-pounding Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves, you'll forget you are exercising and think you are at a dance party. Music selections are fast and slow to help tone and sculpt the body. (Min 1/Max 25)

MIND & BODY CLASSES

YOGA OPEN LEVELS

Ages: 12+ Yoga incorporates a variety of postures to cultivate balance, flexibility and strength while using flowing movements coordinated with your breath to create continuity between postures and promote overall wellness. This class provides modifications and variations to make it appropriate for any level. (Min 1/Max 25)

GENTLE YOGA

Ages: 12+

Bring more harmony into your life and reduce stress in the mind and body. This class will increase your flexibility, strength and well-being using yoga postures, meditation and breathing. (Min 7/Max 25)

Cycling Classes

GREATEST HIITS

Ages: 16+

Check out this indoor cycling class set to exciting music tracks and choreographed to provide an excellent workout and improve cardiovascular conditioning. (Min 7/Max 19)

SUNRISE CYCLE

Ages: 16+

Sunrise Cycle is designed to burn calories and obliterate fat to energetic and upbeat music! This class is a great cardio workout! (Min 1/Max 19)

SPRINT CYCLE

Ages: 16+

This 30-minute, high-intensity interval training class uses short bursts of energy to push your limits, increase your heart rate and burn more calories, propelling you toward your fitness goals. (Min 1/Max 19)
