It’s hard to imagine that Harry Potter is all grown up now. Well, it’s been 20 years since the books were first published yet Pottermania still lives on. It is nothing short of a global phenomenon and what better way to relish the adventure than taking a walk right on the very cobblestones where Harry and his friends set foot.

West End Displays Want to see the props and the actual stuff they used to produce the movie? The British Library will be running a special exhibit until February of 2018, which of course includes highlights from the film. This is your chance to grab a hold of griffn manuscripts and actual documents (well, they’re props anyway) that discuss wizardry.

King’s Cross Station London abounds in Potter film locations and one of them is the King’s Cross Station. If you are a big fan then this place is mandatory. Hint: this is where you will find Platform 9 ¾ and it comes complete with a luggage trolley that disappears halfway through a brick wall.

Leavesden Studio This is where the magic begins. Well, this is actually where a lot of the film’s visual effects work was made. They have five warehouses full of sets and props that were used in the making of the Harry Potter movies. Want to catch a glimpse of Dumbledore’s office? And what better way to really get a feel of wizardry than banqueting at the Great Hall. You can get to the studio complex by taking a train at Euston.

Gringotts Wizarding Bank Ever wonder where the Wizarding Bank is located? Head over to the Strand and walk right into the Australia House. You’ll immediately recognize the place via its interiors. You will easily recognize the Edwardian interiors of the Australian High Commission.

Other Important Harry Potter Locations You can bet that a lot of London locations have been used as sets in the films. These include the Bull’s Head Passage (The Leaky Cauldron), Christ Church college (notice the staircase), the Bodleian Library (Hogwarts infirmary), Alnwick Castle (the actual Hogwarts), and of course Duke Humfrey’s Library doubles as the Hogwarts own library.
