Starter homes from £56,760 at The Deck  First time buyers struggling to get on the property ladder are getting a helping hand from Taylor Wimpey at The Deck in Runcorn where properties are now available from just £56,760 when bought under the FirstBuy scheme. Those currently stuck in rented accommodation may now find it is cheaper to buy, with mortgage repayments as low as £231 per month. And with only a 5% deposit required, buyers could secure their dream home with a deposit of just £3,548. FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that

eligible purchasers only need to pay a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earning should be less than £60,000. David Hnyda, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, says: “We’re delighted to be able offer FirstBuy on apartments at The Deck, making them incredible value for money and putting the dream of home ownership within the reach of so many more local buyers. Apartments here have proved extremely popular due to the development’s striking design, enviable waterfront location and

close proximity to Runcorn. “In fact, we are now down to the last 11 properties in this phase so we would urge anyone interested to visit sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.” The Deck is a collection of modern one and two bedroom apartments, all with parking, designed as if moored on the quayside of the River Mersey.
