Stella Nova opening ceremony //// BIT OF A DO
In a private ceremony, the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor Alf Doran, officially declared Bootle’s landmark Stella Nova development open. The £17m development, positioned on the corner of Washington Parade and Strand Road is the largest private investment in Bootle town centre for over 25 years. VIP guests watched the Mayor cut the ribbon and take the first official steps into the magnificent granite foyer. Father Harnett, previously port chaplain at Stella Maris Seaman’s Mission which has now become Stella Nova, blessed the building. Comprehensive tours of the development included the spectacular roof top garden, gymnasium and one of the stunning apartments. Of the 142 available apartments, 134 are now occupied.
