CELEBRATING ENOUGHNESS

"Sometimes it can feel like if we aren't striving for more, are we even human, let alone normal?

As a society that celebrates hustle culture and wears burnout like a badge of honour. It has created a culture that says you should either be constantly healing before you are enough, or that without a certain figure in the bank, continuous study, or other finite measure you are not enough.

Something has to change, it’s time to say enough and create a new paradigm celebrating our wholeness and that being is enough. This is not just something that we even have to strive to do, or even bring more of that into our everyday life. What I have witnessed over this year is that it’s naturally occurring. Almost as if the commitment to being present is the new normalcy.

I have witnessed a natural evolution take place of where that is landing. From conversations, I’ve had with clients, friends and even overhead, more and more people are sinking into enoughness, simplicity and even settling. The biggest problem with this is that people are feeling a lot of shame and guilt around being enough. In a world that says if you don’t want more, or need more, we’re lazy, it’s no wonder people are keeping it to themselves. HAPPINESS SHOULD BE THE INSPIRATION, NOT THE GOAL. Nurturing a culture of enoughness, doesn’t mean we no longer want anything, do anything, or even work, it’s just inspired from a different place. By putting ourselves first, our wellbeing first, by putting our self actualisation first, we are powerfully inspired to create, play and work in new ways.

Nurturing our enoughness, is about understanding that we are enough, we have everything within us. Embracing our enoughness, creates a foundation and building blocks of inner safety. Connecting to our enoughness means we are whole, and those building blocks become the inspiration for life to happen.

The secret lies in redefining productivity, success, wealth and even purpose, on our own personal terms. We should be creating our success based on waking up each morning feeling how we want to feel. In the heading of this section, I used happiness as the example, but you can replace it with anything you want, safety, comfortability, joy, excitement, built on enoughness.

It’s about redefining resilience as no longer meaning powering through, burning ourselves out to get to some mythical destination. True resilience is about becoming the certainty in an uncertain world, to do the inner work and lean into self trust. To move through the world in a whole new way, knowing whatever happens, we are enough."

"You are enough!

You may have heard this a million times before, but have you allowed yourself to feel it? However, not enough you are feeling right now, However, messy life feels right now, However, loud that imposter is trying to prove you otherwise, And even how ‘too much’ you may feel, You are enough!

The YOU that’s paused to read these words, You are enough!

So take a moment, and take a breath and feel that enoughness, Feel it coursing through your veins, Feel it in every bone of your body, Feel it vibrate in every cell, You are enough.

If this has inspired you, check our my new audiobook, Take The Leap, which is about connecting too and creating a life inspired by being enough.
