Our mission is to see our theatres and arts scenes bustling with life from every age group and from every sector of the community - everyone is welcome here.

MÓTUS provides a platform for high quality dance from national and international dance circuits for our stages and performance spaces across Milton Keynes.

ABOUT MÓTUS

MÓTUS was established in 2013 by professional dance artists based in Milton Keynes who, through their professional work in the UK recognised the opportunity and potential waiting to be harnessed in a city which had an absence of a dance house within its cultural infrastructure.

And so, MÓTUS was born.

Since 2013, MÓTUS has presented annual festivals featuring a diverse and eclectic programme of dance genres designed to inspire, motivate and connect including collaborations with IF: Milton Keynes International Festival produced through The Stables, MK Gallery, Arts for Health and Milton Keynes Council. JUMP START is MÓTUS’s U.Dance endorsed youth dance platform which welcomes hundreds of young dancers to The Venue MK each time to share their talent and passion. MÓTUS has a rich and varied workshop programme and continually supports the creation of new work throughout their ‘Adjustments’ programme which aims to give a platform for brave, new and original work to be seen.

MÓTUS invests in partnership to deliver richer programmes of work. It has worked in the past with Oxford Youth Partnership, Shuttleworth Gardens, Westbury Arts Centre, centre:mk, IF: Milton Keynes International Festival and The Stables, Fringe MK and Oxford Brookes University.
