Let’s reintroduce the main gang of mutts for those who may need a little nudge to jog the memory. For the purpose of understanding the play we will only be focusing on the main seven that will be on stage.

Ryder The kingpin

We’re not entirely sure what favours he had to pull at City Hall to secure the private emergency services contracts or how he managed to acquire quite so many dogs, given the fact that he is only 10, but we applaud his creativity.

Chase The glory seeker

You know the type, always has to be right, must be at the forefront of every case and craves the adoration and approval of his superiors. His weakness? Cat allergies? Standard lame Chase energy.

Zuma The surfer bro

His main job is water rescue, basically the David Hasselhoff of the Paw Patrol rescue services ensemble is what we’re saying. Cool in a crisis, calm under fire, Zuma is all about good vibes and gnarly waves.

Rocky The Eco-warrior

The loveably scruffy Rocky is Adventure Bay’s own Greta Thunberg. He lives and breathes environmentalism. Hugging trees, ensuring people are using the appropriate colour-coded recycling bins, and just generally hoarding.

Skye The brains

The Paw Patrol’s eye in the sky-e, there could be no better name for a helicopter pilot. With the sole possible exception of Chopper, but that’s not very ladylike. The power of flight means that Skye comes in very handy for any jobs that require a bit of altitude and a positive attitude.

Marshall The clown

We say ‘clown,’ he’s often actually borderline criminally negligent, frequently more of contributor to the chaos than an interrupter. It’s his enthusiasm that’s the problem, he’s just so excited he ends up all fumbles and whoopsies. It’s a good job he’s not tasked with putting out fires then.

Rubble The glutton

An English bulldog who would literally rather snack on a big ol’ sarnie (we hear you Rubble) than try and rescue the perennially imperilled folk of Adventure Bay. Honestly, considering how often these catastrophic calamties seem to occur – and who can blame this ‘goodest’ of boys?

Etihad Arena, June 8 to June 11, tickets start from Dhs105. pawpatrollive. com / abu-duabi. platinumlist.net. Meet and Greets are available.
