Where to buy great art online

There comes a time in life when you start to care about what you put on your walls. In your student years, a partially ripped movie poster of Baz Luhman’s Romeo & Juliet did the job, but now most of us are looking for something a little cooler than a photo on canvas of a sunset. Even better, a potential investment piece. So where do you go to find something genuine, meaningful and aesthetically pleasing that you could potentially love forever? Here’s a great place to start...

The Arabian Gallery

Yep, we’re starting off by tooting our own horn with The Arabian Gallery –a new online platform created by What’s On’s umbrella company Motivate Media Group. What was once a physical gallery has now moved online and features a collection of photographs (many of which are of the UAE), as well as artworks and sculptures. In the photography section, you can browse through a series of prints taken by renowned photographers and explorers, including the late Patrick Lichfield and Sir Wilfred Thesiger among others. Meanwhile, its artworks section highlights the works of many UAE-based artists, including Najat Makki, Jassim Al Awadhi, and Faisal Abdulqader. The Arabian Gallery team are still on the hunt for more artists to join the platform, so if you would like to be considered, email tag.submissions@ motivate.ae q thearabiangallery.com
