the national pan-hellenic council The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is comprised of nine international fraternities and sororities including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.; Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Currently, Missouri State University hosts six of the nine NPHC organizations. NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings, and other mediums and engages in programming and initiatives through various activities. Who can go through the Intake Process? Each organization has specific requirements on the national and local levels. Minimum GPA requirements range from 2.5-2.75. Aspirants must have at least 12 credit hours and 24 hours in some organizations. Other qualifications needed may include (but not limited to) community service hours, campus involvement, character, etc. For specific qualifications, one should contact the local chapter of the organization they wish to join. Joining an NPHC organization is a life-time commitment. It is strongly suggested that anyone who is interested do their research on the organization they aspire to join.
