CONFIDENTIAL :: COMPANY OVERVIEW :: ©2010 COBY, LLC

We will set a new standard in automotive products by serving as a “3rd parent” to chaperone teen and young adult drivers –whether on the freeway to and from college, or on hidden stretches of back streets – we will be anywhere in the world our youth might get into trouble driving at unsafe speeds.

Our company was founded by police officers who are also parents. We will address the higher likelihood of youth to drive at excessive speeds, and underestimate or not recognize hazardous situations (Jonah BA, Dawson NE. 1987).

We will fight against motor vehicle crashes that are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens, accounting for more than one in three deaths in this age group (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009).

Highway Guardian will appeal to parents who would like to limit their child’s exposure to automobile accidents.

Highway Guardian customers will recommend our product to other parents due to their positive experience, ease of installation, and product value. • Once the unit is installed on their own car, Highway Guardian customers will recommend our product to parents of their child’s friends to extend our protection regardless of who is driving within their child’s social network. • Parents with more than one car will purchase a Highway Guardian unit for every car their child will drive. • Parents with more than one child will purchase a Highway Guardian unit for every car driven by their children.

Highway Guardian’s speed-limiting system is based on Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. •

Instead of relying on the car’s own speedometer, the Highway Guardian unit calculates auto velocity using GPS technology.

The GPS system is a network of 24 satellites the United States Department of Defense placed into orbit for use in navigation.

Originally intended for military applications, the government has made GPS available for civilian use.

Rain, sleet, snow, or hail, GPS keeps working 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world.

There are no fees for subscription or setup charges to use GPS.

The Highway Guardian unit is simple to use. •

Like police vehicle accessories, a novice mechanic can install the userfriendly unit, and the device is powered by the automobile’s electrical system.

When the car is in operation, its speed is read by GPS. When a speed is calculated above 75 miles per hour, the Highway Guardian unit temporarily cuts the power to the fuel injection system through an electronic pulse module without shutting off the engine.

When the speed drops below 75 miles per hour, the Highway Guardian unit allows power back to the fuel injector system, giving acceleration control back to the driver.

We have taken up arms against the senseless trauma and devastated lives resulting from an overwhelming number of excessive speed accidents involving our youngest drivers. •  Our higher calling resulted in Highway Guardian. We visualize parents around the planet joining our effort to save our children from high-speed crashes. •  We offer a product that is affordable, effective, and invisible to the operator of the installed vehicle. •  It is a product that will save lives – a gift that will truly keep on giving.

Profile: •  Highway Guardian makes itself unique in the automotive safety market by appealing to parents who are concerned about their children driving at high-speeds. •  The Highway Guardian product will be presented as a parent/law enforcement officer-designed solution to high rates of injury and death resulting from young drivers at excessive speeds.

•  Highway Guardian has assembled a portfolio of key partners to manage the design, development, and delivery of our initial product offering. •  Each partner takes a role in the lifecycle of bringing our speed limiting device to market.

Consumers of our product are parents of 16-20 year old drivers seeking peace of mind that their child is protected from driving at excessive speeds. There is significant potential for multiple unit sales within one household, and wordof-mouth sales.
