elcome to the Mortgage Introducer Awards Supplement 2020. At the begining of the year, plans were already afoot for a bigger and better Mortgage Introducer Awards. However, in March they had to be put on ice as the country entered lockdown. Despite this, we felt that it was very important in these turbulent times to highlight all the great achievements that have been made over the past 12 months, recognising and rewarding the best and brightest in the UK mortgage industry, and those individuals and businesses that stand out from their peers, through innovation, professionalism and sheer expertise. As we moved the awards to an online event we gathered more than 30,000 votes across 29 categories. Our panel of 75 expert judges worked hard to cut the wheat from the chaff and put together our eventual shortlists, comprising more than 120 nominees. The event itself saw upwards of 1,000 attendees log in to celebrate with the winners, across categories ranging from Best Mortgage Lender (HSBC) to General Insurance Provider (Legal & General Insurance), Mortgage Introducer of the Year (Dynamo) and of course, Lifetime Achievement (David Copland). We hope you enjoyed the event, which was filmed at the Rennaisance Hotel in London and introduced by Mortgage Introducer publishing director Robyn Hall, with guest appearances from industry legends Alan Cleary and Peter Brodnicki.
