Peninsula’s finest fireys honoured THE Mornington Peninsula Fire Brigades Group last week honoured 15 long-serving members for their commitment to helping keep the community safe. The group, which consists of Boneo, Dromana, Flinders, Main Ridge, Mt Martha, Rye, Rosebud and Sorrento fire brigades, and Safety Beach Coast Guard brigade, held a special ceremony at Rye on 17 November to present life membership awards. Recipients of the awards were:
Gordon Storey (Boneo), Barrie Savige (Rosebud), Dawn Hind (Rye), Graeme Hind; (Rye); Mike Green (Main Ridge), Charles King (Dromana), Allan Bright (Main Ridge), Trevor Blake (Boneo), Tony Brown (Boneo/Rosebud), Bruce Conboy (Mt Martha), Robyn Desmond (Dromana), Timothy Desmond (Dromana), Graeme Flockart (Main Ridge), Craig Solly (Dromana) and Phyllis Storey.
