Electric Lines Clearance

Thinking about volunteering?

To keep powerlines clear of vegetation, we have works in the Somers and Rye area commencing soon. The pruning of street trees will be undertaken in accordance with best practice methods and some trees encroaching into clearance zones may need to be removed. Changed traffic conditions and minor delays could apply while works are underway. mornpen.vic.gov.au/electriclinesclearance

Beat the heat this summer During periods of prolonged and extreme heat, older people are at risk of illness or even death. Age-related changes to the body can reduce its ability to sweat in response to heat, causing dehydration and making them more prone to heat stress. Planning ahead for extreme heat is important. Drink plenty of water; never leave kids, adults or pets in the car; look after those who live alone; and schedule activities during the coolest part of the day. mornpen.vic.gov.au/beattheheat
