What makes your practice unique? “Lasky Pediatric Dental Group’s goal is to make both parents and children feel comfortable and safe. Our families enjoy that our waiting area is homelike and serene. Parents are always included in the decision-making process, and we make sure they understand all treatment options and recommendations. Children are examined where they are most receptive: on their parent’s lap, on the floor or by our toy box. Lastly, parents appreciate being able to call or email us between visits.” Tell us about your staff. “Our practice wouldn’t be as successful if we didn’t have a strong team of experienced registered dental hygienists and assistants supporting us. We are blessed that our team has become part of our extended family and they, like us, love what they do.” When should parents first take their child to the dentist’s office? “Parents should look for their child’s dental home before or soon after their baby is born or if they move to a new neighborhood. We have found that it is comforting for parents to identify a pediatric dentist before there may be a medical need or emergency. Hopefully we won’t need to see your child until their first visit on or around their first birthday.” How do you give back to your community? “We believe that in-office patient and parent education is the foundation of your child’s oral health and helps them learn and maintain good oral care habits. We also believe that it’s important to take this message out into the community. In making regular visits to nursery and elementary schools, parenting groups and community organizations, we promote the importance of health and teach proper oral care techniques to parents and children.”
