HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR CLIENTS HAPPY FROM CONCEPT TO COMPLETION? Quality and customer service. We have a fantastic return rate of clients as proof we are doing our job. We stay in touch with our clients after they receive delivery of their pieces to answer any questions they might have.
DESCRIBE THE FEATURED PROJECT. The project was for a Dallas client who wanted a comfortable and livable look for her beach home in Seaside, Florida. She had Quatrine Furniture for 12 years and raised her family on it. So when it was time to furnish her second home, she came to us to do everything to make it look like a relaxing summer home. She also rents out the home in the fall, so she wanted slipcovered furniture so it could be washed and stay new-looking after each client left her home.
WHEN DID YOU START YOUR BUSINESS IN THE SOUTH BAY? We opened our first store in Manhattan Beach 26 years ago, and we remain in that space today. Since then we have opened seven stores around the country. We hand-make every piece ordered out of those stores in our own manufacturing facility in Long Beach.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FIRM UNIQUE IN THIS INDUSTRY? We are one of the last hand-made furniture manufacturers. We make our furniture from the wood frame up and import nothing. We are sustainable and truly custom. Our fabrics for our slipcovers can be washed at home and do not shrink in your washer and dryer—we guarantee that!

WHAT ARE SOME WAYS YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL ON YOUR PROJECTS? Every order from a client is handwritten in detail. After that order is received by our manufacturing facility, it is sent to each department in detail. We have a dedicated quality control department that inspects every piece after it is complete and ready to ship. Someone from our executive staff looks over the piece as well, to ensure that our clients’ piece is perfect.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR SIGNATURE TOUCHES? Since we are completely custom, our clients can pick from more than 400 fabrics. They choose their seat and back cushion fills, spring system and size of the piece, plus the ribbon detailing, special welting and decorative skirts. Often we do custom button closures and custom wood stains for furniture legs. The sky is the limit!
WHAT BENEFITS DO CLIENTS GAIN FROM WORKING WITH YOUR FIRM? Our staff is very knowledgeable about furniture and the process of making furniture. We have a large database of every piece of furniture we have ever made in 26 years, so we can reference older orders for clients when they are ready to purchase new slipcovers.
