Summary: 20-30 hours a week of housekeeping, sanitation and ground keeping of empty units and hallways/access points of Apartment buildings

Long Term Care Center

Full Time – Business Office/Central Supply Manager

Summary: This person will assist in day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care operation. Additionally, the Manager will ensure that adequate supplies of medical and non-medical items are available for use by staff and residents and will main tain accurate inventory records; responsible for managing the ordering, receiving and storage of supplies. This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or Equivalent Required. Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year experience in bookkeeping or accounting practices. Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.

Full Time – Grant Writer

Summary: The Grant Writer is a member of the business development team, responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to identify, prepare, submit and manage grant proposals. The Grant Writer will perform prospect research to evaluate prospects for grants. The Grant Writer will work with finance and program staff to gather the needed information to apply for funding and ensu re reporting compliance with funders on all grant programs. The Grant Writer is responsible to single out and seek funds for exi sting and future Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe (FSST) projects

Education/Experience: A Bachelor of Arts degree in business or public administration, community planning, or communications or combination of both education, training and experience in tribal government, contract and grant writing, and community develo pment proposals totaling three to five (3 -5) years.

Full Time – Education Coordinator

Summary: Performs the following tasks in compliance with the 638 BIA Contract Program - BIA/AVT Higher Education and the Johnson O’Malley Program. Oversees the implementation and supervision of grant programs awarded to FSST Education under the authority of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe. Provides assistance in the development, planning, evaluation and coordination of activities related to community education and program development. Targets FSST enrolled youth and FSST members to recruit into higher education programs and universities, adult education programs, or other related assistance. May supervise temporary Summer Youth Coor dinators when the Summer Youth Program is active.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required with Education focus preferred, 2 -3 years of experience with higher education programs, grant writing, scholarships or other similar related duties str ongly preferred.

• Possession of a valid SD Driver’s license and insurable by the FSST. Willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment. Must submit to a pre -employment drug and alcohol screening and P.L. 101 -630 background check.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects and occasionally work odd hours.

• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to interface with a wide range of stakeholders, internal staff, advisory/school boards/parent boards, committee members and community members as well as young people and parents.

• Direct experience with native youth and cultural sensitivity and knowledge education program planning, development, implementation and evaluation strongly preferred.
