Ride in control and within your capabilities. Riding at night, dusk or dawn is very hazardous, with risk of serious injury, paralysis or death. The risk of an accident, particularly being hit by a motor vehicle, is much higher at night. If you choose to accept this higher risk, improve your odds with a proper lighting system, strobe light, light coloured reflective clothing and careful riding. Seek the advice of an experienced bicycle commuter at your retailer. Some Cannondale clothing and accessories have reflective trim. Reflective trim may be helpful in making you more visible, but is certainly not adequate alone and not a substitute for required reflectors and lights. Cannondale strongly urges use of a flashing light or strobe. All of us at Cannondale who ride at night or in conditions of lower visibility use flashers. They can save your life. No helmet can protect the wearer form all foreseeable accidents, including those involving bicycles to motor vehicle collisions. Depending on the type of impact, even a very low speed accident can result in a serious head injury or fatality. Helmets featured are designed to protect the head and cannot guard against cervical, spine or other bodily injuries that result from an accident.
