GENERAL INFORMATION Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or check payable to Cedar Valley Shorthorn Sale. Payments to be made to clerk immediately following sale and before the cattle are removed from sale site. Purchasers or their representative must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale site. Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due within 10 days following the date of the sale. After 10 days a 2 percent service charge will be added every 30 days and thereafter unless arrangements have been made with owner of cattle. Delivery: Cattle must be out of the sale facility Sunday night. Every effort will be made to assist you in the delivery of your purchases. If you have any questions, please contact a consignor. Insurance: Will be available for your purchase at the sale. Contact their representative or the clerk at the settlement desk through James Bessler.

ACCOMMODATIONS All motels located in Cedar Rapids off of I-380 Exit 17. Book early, as the Iowa Hawkeyes play at home this weekend.

Kirkwood Livestock Sale Facility Cedar Rapids, Iowa South of Cedar Rapids on I-380, take Exit 13. Go one mile East to Kirkwood Blvd. Go North on Kirkwood Blvd to four-way stop. Turn right on 76th Avenue. Go East 3/4 mile. Sale site is on the right.

Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyer should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective state. Breeding Guarantee: All cattle sell under the Standard Breeding Guarantee recommended by the American Shorthorn Association. An exception would be through mishandling either obesity or under nourishment and illegal practices associated with showing the animal. Mailed or Telephone Bids: Mailed or telephoned bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, simply contact a representative of the sale far enough in advance prior to sale day. They will be able to assist you at ringside on sale day. Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold. Neither the owner, employees, auctioneer or others affiliated personnel can be responsible for an accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending. Registration and Transfer: All animals sell with completed pedigrees or applications for registration. Transfers and registrations will be done by each consignor. Breeding Update/Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog. Semen: Semen will be on site day of sale. Sale day announcements take precedence over printed catalog material.
